K02 Review
Best value for money tyre available, incredible durability and superb off-road performance
BFG KO2 for 4WheelingSA YouTube Channel
I have been using the K02s on my Fortuner for almost 4 years now. For my YouTube channel, 4WheelingSA, it is important to have reliable tyres as I travel alone on many instances to capture content. This include driving some tyre unfriendly 4x4 trails. Thus far the tyres have not put a foot (wheel) wrong.
Reliable and hardy
They are good for off-road and very good when there is loads of potholes. No flat tyres and done near 80 00km on them. Will replace them definitely with BF's again. The only negative I would say is they are heavy but they are good tyres
Capable but quality is not what it once was
I used BFG KO2's for many years and in the past, I would get very good milage from every set unfortunately since the Tyres have been made in Tiawan the quality is poor, they chip and crack and get only 70% or the previous milage. I have switched brands now they are just not value for money anymore.
Excellent tyres
As the author of several books on snakes and snakebite I travel extensively and have clocked over half a million kilometers in the bush over the years. My first set of BFGoodrich All-terrain tyres were on a Toyota Fortuner and I had excellent service from them. I travel extensively all over Africa and did trips to Angola, Botswana and Mozambique. Just over 100,000 km without a single flat tyre. Earlier this year I purchased a Toyota Land Cruiser Double Cab V8 and after 400 meters on a dirt road in Namaqualand I had my first flat - thorn in the side wall. I immediately replaced the tyres with BFGoodrich and have now done 35,000 km. I was told to be very careful in rain as these tyres tend to have poor grip in wet conditions. Well despite a lot of driving in rain I have not had any problems. I will stick to BF Goodrich All-terrain tyres.
Extreme tyre life
I have completed just over 100,000km, less than half off-road, without one puncture. Been through Namibia and Botswana, along some pretty though tracks. I rotated these tyres every 10,000km and there is still some life left in them.
Best All Terrain Tire
I've been driving on the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires for quite some time now, and I must say, they've exceeded my expectations in every way. With 75,000 kilometers already under their belt, these tires have proven to be incredibly reliable, offering superb grip off-road while remaining surprisingly quiet on tarmac surfaces. Durability is another strong suit of the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2. With 75,000 kilometers on these tires and still plenty of life left in them, it's clear that they are built to last. They exhibit excellent resistance to wear and tear, and their tough construction can handle the harshest conditions without showing significant signs of damage.
Top Tyres
I have two sets of BFG T/A KO2 tyres. 18s and 16s. They are behaving exceptionally well. Have to be a bit cautious on the 18s in the wet but overall they are excellent. Great mileage and very tough where the going gets tough. Very satisfied. The brand has not let me down.
BFG Keepingg my Jimny safe on the road
I have been using BF Goodrich, K02 on my Jimny since Oct 2019, and I have just fitted my second set. The Jimny loves these tires, and they turn heads where-ever I go. Many Jimny drivers have followed my lead and have opted for BFG K02 tires for their Jimny's. I have used them on dirt roads, rocks water and loose sand, and the K02 always performs very well, and have prevented me from getting stuck on a few occasions. I will never use any other tyre on my Jimny, and just love the look of the K02 - it gives my Jimny a more "adventurous" look and make you want to head outdoors to put them to use and use them for the purpose they are designed. I am very glad I made the move the BFG and will never go back
BF Goodridge for the win
If you're like me, and aren't that clued up on tyres, you can generally go with a brand that you can trust. Not only to get the right advice, but also to get the best possible tyre for your needs. I was surprised at how knowledgeable they were and how much this tyre was recommended by many. Rest assured that you're getting the best.
