Gibb on KO2s
Just completed the Cape and Gibb on KO2s, saw many with tyre damage but not the KOs, these tyres are made for punishment, highly recommended!
Great
Best tyres
Been using these for over 10years on my 4x4s
I find these to be one of the best all round tyres. I live in a rural area & drive 64kms of winding dirt roads each day to & from work. These tyres are very durable & provide excellent grip under these conditions. We also do one big outback trip each year & they never let us down. Never had a puncture from a rock or anything like that & only a couple from nails & screws. Usually get upwards of 80,000kms a set.
Tyre that lasts
Great tyres. Consistently perform very and have lasted-nearly 90,000kms now.
Value for money
Just purchased my 4th set of k02 tyres for my ranger. Got 105,000km out of my last set, 25% on gravel. I’ve never had a problem with the tyres apart from some road noise after 50,000kms. But I find they are an excellent tyre on and off road.
Not Built As Tough As they Say
I had these tyres fitted to my ute (Ford Ranger with canopy on the back) 13 months ago and since then i have travelled 23,000km with no off road use. I had a shutter coming through the car when it reached 110km/hr. Local mechanic that supplied and installed the tyre said he re balanced all tyres and found that one had internal belts that were seperating when he put it on the roller and that it was not his problem and that it was BFGOODRICH issues and wasn't covered under warranty
Amazing tyres
50,000 km’s on landcruiser 200 series and still heaps of tread & grip : )
Tire Road Noise
I have just about gone through my first set of these tyres on a Toyota 200 series Landcruiser and they have 84,500 kms on their clock. My biggest disappointment with them is that for the last 20 or 30 thousand clicks, they have been very noisy on the road. Are the newer K02's any better in this regard? I would like to know.
Good but not as good as the BFG spin
Have been using these tires for over 20 years. However, despite the KO2 hope, have found these no better than the old KO's. Just returned from a 4000 km trip to the outback & the wear & tear was no different. 2 sidewalls & chunks of the tread broken off. Having said all that, am yet to find a better all - round tire, but the value for money equation is not as good as it used to be.
Had these all my life and never again
Bought a set of these for my 200 series landcruiser and I’ll never buy them again. Had a side wall collapse after only doing 2000 kays and not any harsh roads at all. Then with about 8000 kays had another one fail. Took them back to the seller and he told me there was nothing they could do and they would check with the rep. Still no warranty at all which they said I drove it flat which is not right. The wall collapsed completely on one side and you could see I hadn’t drove it flat with no marks on the tyre at all. Didn’t even bother with the second one which did exactly the same thing. Always have ran bf Goodrich but never again
